When there's a world of beauty

Flowers. Gardens. Landscapes. Land or Sea?

Land everytime, because I am in love with this worn and layered story of our world. The crumbling buildings, the dark alleyways and the way nature sneaks in to create beauty in the most forgotten places. Bright green moss in grimy corners, ivy pushing through cracked stonework, shafts of sunlight hitting rotting timber. Beauty is that moment in time that sings to your soul...

History is my secret love, which is why you will see history peeking out of the background of almost every artwork. And the truth is that when it comes to history, I am a magpie. From Paris to Rome to home I hunt compulsively for ledges and patinaed walls...to bring back to my studio. This is where I bring their stories to life…as backdrops to decadent studio dreams. Layering history with dark floral beauty results in more than just an artwork. It is my floral obsession.

I believe beauty should do more than decorate. It should hold emotion, history, atmosphere, and layers that reveal themselves over time, inviting people to pause, look closer, and feel something meaningful.

When I found myself feeling confined by the routines of wifehood, motherhood, and expat life in a concrete villa far from home, I began creating art inspired by the places and experiences that made my soul feel expansive again.

My work celebrates the moments that lift us beyond routine—the feeling of discovering a hidden garden, wandering an ancient town, or standing before something unexpectedly beautiful. It serves as a reminder that life is richer, wider, and more wondrous than our daily responsibilities.

Through my art I create connections for those who curate beautiful homes and meaningful lives, and who want to feel connected to the beauty, history, and wonder that exists beyond the everyday.

The Collection

In the studio hope and expectation walk hand in hand

There is a stem that droops. As I watch it relinquishes its slight hold on the rim of the vase and with the grace of a dancer, slides its heavy head toward the shelf. I am mesmerised. On the way down there is a sudden tangling of torn stubs, creating a ripple of unease across the sea of floral heads as they try to hold firm against this sliding rebellion, but two more are caught,  and in another moment they also slide, before lying, like a puddle on the shelf, relaxed and infinitely more beautiful than before.

I want to capture grandeur and decadence and a little bit of impossibility.
